- I presented a poster at the Society for Neuroscience 2024 (Chicago, Oct 5–9, 2024).
- I am currently seeking postdoctoral or research opportunities in neuroscience, with a focus on auditory perception and speech production! I am expecting to finish my PhD in Summer 2025.
I am currently a Ph.D. candidate in Cognitive Neuroscience at the University of California, Irvine, where I conduct research at the Auditory & Language Neuroscience Lab, under the guidance of Dr. Gregory Hickok. Additionally, I have received a Master’s degree in Statistics during the program.
Before joining UC Irvine, I received dual Bachelor’s degrees in Chemistry and Linguistics at Seoul National University. I am also a proud graduate of the Korea Science Academy of KAIST, a science magnet school, located in Busan, South Korea.
The primary objective of my research is to explore the neural control of speech, with a particular emphasis on understanding the functional localization of the pathway that controls the larynx for pitch generation. This investigation aims to shed light on the overarching issue of the functioning of human language from a neuroscience perspective.
